a new bird in the garden always gives loads more satisfaction than seeing a bird somewhere else or chasing a rarity I always think. I've started keeping a blog for my garden and local sightings at www.poolhousewildlife.blogspot.com, no bullfinches have come into the garden yet but they are about in the area.
very excited to see them. they stopped by once more during the day, but didnt feed yet. Ive been out there all day watching the birds come and go, been lovely

ReplyDeleteLucky you Matt. I thought I had my first bullfinch today but it was only a brambling lol.
ReplyDeleteOurs are most definitely regulars now Matt, if they came back twice they probably like what they saw first time around!!!

Well done Matt, I had one fleeting visit a few weeks back and that was the first time I had seen one since I was a child.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Matt, I love Bullfinches, only had them once in our garden.
